Heyyyy, I’m Tawnya. At my house, the griddle’s always hot, music’s always loud, table’s always open.

Whip It Up with Williams is bold flavors and 90s vibes, no fluff and no filler. For me cooking was never just about the ingredients – it’s the whole vibe. The sound of the sizzle, some old school R&B playing in the background, everybody grabbing a plate and the backyard smelling like something worth showing up for. That’s what it’s all about.

Food is my love language. It all started with a massive cookbook collection and a thing for baking, and has turned into a full-on obsession with backyard cooking. The backyard or the kitchen, doesn’t matter – the goal’s the same: feed the people I love. There’s something about a meal that took time and a little soul that just hits different.

Here’s the part people assume they know. They think the music came after – like I picked a lane and built a soundtrack for it. Nah. The music was here first.

I can’t clean the house without music. Can’t cook without it. Can’t drive without it, and it’s gotta be LOUD – bass loud. Hip hop and R&B since high school. That’s not a brand thing, that’s just me, and it’s been me a long time.

So one Christmas I’m out back on the griddle with LSG going, singing along like I do every single day of my life, and I posted it. That reel took off and everything you’re looking at right now came from it. No plan. No strategy. Just a woman cooking with her music up too loud.

In a perfect world I’d learn to DJ. Probably never will. But that’s the truth of who’s cooking for you.

I’m not about the name on the equipment, I’m about the technique – master that and you can cook anywhere. If you’ve been around more than five minutes, you know the griddle’s doing most of the work but here’s what I’m bringing:
