Bacon Jam

bacon jam

If you’ve never tried bacon jam, once you have some, you’re going to wonder where it’s been your whole life. It’s sweet, smoky, savory, and sticky. Spread it on a burger, tuck it into a grilled cheese, spoon it over breakfast sandwiches, or—if you’re like me—eat it on a ham and jam sandwich on homemade sourdough bread.

The best part? You don’t need anything fancy to make it. A griddle (or skillet), some bacon, onions, and a handful of pantry staples come together in about 45 minutes to create this jar of magic.

Ways to Use Bacon Jam

  • Burgers → Pair with cheddar, blue cheese, or even brie.
  • Grilled Cheese → Slather some on sourdough with sharp cheddar.
  • Breakfast Sandwiches → On a fried egg + English muffin situation, it’s unbeatable.
  • Appetizers → Spoon over baked brie or cream cheese with crackers.
  • Flatbreads & Pizza → Swap out marinara for bacon jam as the base.

Bacon jam is one of those things that sounds gourmet, but once you make it, you realize how simple it really is. It’s the condiment your kitchen has been missing.
